Job description:
The Quality Assurance Claim Specialist manages and resolves quality-related claims from customers. This role involves investigating the root causes of quality issues, coordinating with various departments to implement corrective actions, and ensuring timely claims resolution to maintain customer satisfaction and meet organizational quality standards.
Receive and evaluate quality-related claims from customers, including defective products, non-conformance issues, or quality discrepancies.
Conduct thorough investigations to determine the root causes of quality problems, utilizing data analysis, product testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and supply chain departments to implement corrective actions and prevent the recurrence of quality issues.
Maintain accurate documentation of quality claims, investigation findings, corrective actions, and resolution status.
Communicate with customers or vendors/suppliers to provide updates on claim status, resolve disputes, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Monitor and analyze quality trends and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement proactive measures to prevent future quality claims.
Develop and conduct training programs for manufacturing personnel to enhance quality awareness and adherence to quality standards.
Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to manufacturing quality assurance and claims management.
Qualification :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, or a related field.
Previous experience in manufacturing quality assurance, claims management, or a related role.
Strong understanding of quality management principles, manufacturing processes, and quality control methodologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with customers or vendors. Fluent in English is a must, and preferred can also speak in multiple languages (Japanese, Korean, German, or Mandarin).
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance with quality standards and regulations.
Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001 preferred to familiarity with IATF 16949) and quality tools (e.g., FMEA, Six Sigma).
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
